Basic

This privacy policy is intended to inform the users of this website about the nature, scope and purpose of the collection and use of personal data by the website operator.

The website operator takes your data protection very seriously and treats your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory provisions. As new technologies and the constant further development of this website may result in changes to this data protection declaration, we recommend that you read through the data protection declaration again at regular intervals. Definitions of the terms used (e.g. "personal data" or "processing") can be found in Art. 4 DSGVO.

Collection and processing of personal data

The website operator only collects, uses and discloses your personal data if this is permitted by law or if you consent to the data collection. Personal data is any information that can be used to identify you personally and that can be traced back to you - for example, your name, e-mail address and telephone number. You can also visit this website without providing any personal information. However, in order to improve our online services, we store (without personal reference) your access data to this website. This access data includes, for example, the file you requested or the name of your internet provider. By anonymising the data, it is not possible to draw conclusions about your person.

 Types of data processed:

  • Inventory data (e.g., names, addresses).

  • Contact data (e.g., email, telephone numbers).

  • Content data (e.g., text entries, photographs, videos).

  • Usage data (e.g., web pages visited, interest in content, access times).

  • Meta/communication data (e.g., device information, IP addresses).

Categories of data subjects

Visitors and users of the online offer (hereinafter, we also refer to the data subjects collectively as "users").

Purpose of the processing

  • Provision of the online offer, its functions and contents.

  • Responding to contact requests and communicating with users.

  • Security measures.

  • Reach measurement/marketing

Relevant legal basis

In accordance with Art. 13 DSGVO, we inform you of the legal basis for our data processing. If the legal basis is not stated in the data protection declaration, the following applies: The legal basis for obtaining consent is Art. 6(1)(a) and Art. 7 DSGVO, the legal basis for processing in order to fulfil our services and carry out contractual measures and respond to enquiries is Art. 6(1)(b) DSGVO, the legal basis for processing in order to fulfil our legal obligations is Art. 6(1)(c) DSGVO, and the legal basis for processing in order to protect our legitimate interests is Art. 6(1)(f) DSGVO. In the event that vital interests of the data subject or another natural person make processing of personal data necessary, Art. 6 (1) lit. d DSGVO serves as the legal basis.

Contact form

Data transmitted via the contact form, including your contact details, are stored in order to be able to process your enquiry or to be available for follow-up questions. This data will not be passed on without your consent. The data entered in the contact form is processed exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO). You may revoke your consent at any time. An informal communication by e-mail is sufficient for the revocation. The legality of the data processing operations carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

Data transmitted via the contact form will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to store it or there is no longer any need to store the data. Mandatory legal provisions - in particular retention periods - remain unaffected.

Security measures

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure a level of protection appropriate to the risk in accordance with Article 32 of the GDPR, taking into account the state of the art, the costs of implementation and the nature, scope, circumstances and purposes of the processing, as well as the varying likelihood and severity of the risk to the rights and freedoms of natural persons.

The measures include, in particular, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data by controlling physical access to the data, as well as access to, input, disclosure, ensuring availability and segregation of the data. We also have procedures in place to ensure the exercise of data subjects' rights, deletion of data and response to data compromise. Furthermore, we already take the protection of personal data into account in the development and selection of hardware, software and procedures, in accordance with the principle of data protection through technology design and through data protection-friendly default settings (Art. 25 DSGVO).

Reach measurement & cookies

This website uses cookies for pseudonymised range measurement, which are transmitted to the user's browser either by our server or the server of a third party. Cookies are small files that are stored on your end device. Your browser accesses these files. The use of cookies increases the user-friendliness and security of this website. If you do not want cookies to be stored on your terminal device for the purpose of measuring reach, you can object to the use of these files here:

Popular browsers offer the setting option to not allow cookies. Note: It is not guaranteed that you will be able to access all functions of this website without restrictions if you make the corresponding settings.

Cooperation with processors and third parties

Insofar as we disclose data to other persons and companies (order processors or third parties) in the course of our processing, transmit it to them or otherwise grant them access to the data, this is only done on the basis of a legal permission (e.g. if a transmission of the data to third parties, such as to payment service providers, is necessary for the performance of the contract pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. b DSGVO), you have consented, a legal obligation provides for this or on the basis of our legitimate interests (e.g. when using agents, web hosts, etc.).

If we commission third parties to process data on the basis of a so-called "order processing agreement", this is done on the basis of Art. 28 DSGVO.

Access data

We, the website operator or page provider, collect data on accesses to the website on the basis of our legitimate interest (see Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f. DSGVO) and store these as "server log files" on the website server. The following data is logged in this way:

  • Visited website

  • Time at the time of access

  • Amount of data sent in bytes

  • Source/reference from which you reached the page

  • Browser used

  • Operating system used

  • IP address used

The server log files are stored for a maximum of 7 days and then deleted. The data is stored for security reasons, e.g. to be able to clarify cases of misuse. If data must be retained for evidentiary reasons, it is exempt from deletion until the incident has been finally clarified.

Storage period of contributions and comments

Contributions and comments as well as related data, such as IP addresses, are stored. The content remains on our website until it has been completely deleted or had to be deleted for legal reasons.

The storage of posts and comments is based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO). A revocation of your already given consent is possible at any time. An informal communication by e-mail is sufficient for the revocation. The legality of data processing operations that have already taken place remains unaffected by the revocation.

Hosting

The hosting services used by us serve to provide the following services: Infrastructure and platform services, computing capacity, storage space and database services, security services and technical maintenance services, which we use for the purpose of operating this online offer.

In doing so, we, or our hosting provider, process inventory data, contact data, content data, contract data, usage data, meta data and communication data of customers, interested parties and visitors of this online offer on the basis of our legitimate interests in an efficient and secure provision of this online offer pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO in conjunction with Art. 28 DSGVO (conclusion of a contract). Art. 28 DSGVO (conclusion of order processing agreement).

Google Tag Manager

Google Tag Manager is a solution with which we can manage so-called website tags via an interface (and thus, for example, integrate Google Analytics and other Google marketing services into our online offer). The tag manager itself (which implements the tags) does not process any personal data of the users. With regard to the processing of users' personal data, please refer to the following information on Google services. Usage guidelines: https://www.google.com/intl/de/tagmanager/use-policy.html.

Google Universal Analytics

We use Google Analytics in the form of "Universal Analytics". "Universal Analytics" refers to a method of Google Analytics in which user analysis is based on a pseudonymous user ID and thus a pseudonymous profile of the user is created with information from the use of different devices (so-called "cross-device tracking").

Google Analytics

This website uses the "Google Analytics" service on the basis of our legitimate interests in optimising and analysing our online offering within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) lit. f. DSGVO the service "Google Analytics", which is offered by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). The service (Google Analytics) uses "cookies" - text files that are stored on your terminal device. The information collected by the cookies is usually sent to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

Google LLC complies with European data protection law and is certified under the Privacy Shield agreement: https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active

IP anonymisation is used on this website. The IP address of the user is shortened within the member states of the EU and the European Economic Area and in the other contracting states of the agreement. Only in individual cases is the IP address initially transmitted unabbreviated to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. This shortening eliminates the personal reference of your IP address. The user's IP address transmitted by the browser is not combined with other data stored by Google.

Under the terms of the data protection agreement that we, as website operators, have concluded with Google Inc., the latter uses the information collected to evaluate website use and website activity and provides services related to internet use.

The data collected by Google on our behalf is used to evaluate the use of our online offer by individual users, e.g. to create reports on website activity in order to improve our online offer.

You have the option of preventing cookies from being stored on your device by making the appropriate settings in your browser. It is not guaranteed that you will be able to access all functions of this website without restrictions if your browser does not allow cookies.

Furthermore, you can use a browser plug-in to prevent the information collected by cookies (including your IP address) from being sent to and used by Google Inc. The following link will take you to the corresponding plugin: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

Alternatively, you can prevent Google Analytics from collecting data about you within this website by clicking on this link (IMPORTANT: insert opt-out link). By clicking on the above link, you will download an "opt-out cookie". Your browser must therefore generally allow cookies to be stored for this purpose. If you delete your cookies regularly, you will need to click on the link again each time you visit this website.

Here you will find further information on the use of data by Google Inc:

Target group formation with Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to display the ads placed within Google's advertising services and those of its partners only to users who have also shown an interest in our online offering or who have certain characteristics (e.g. interests in certain topics or products determined on the basis of the websites visited) that we transmit to Google (so-called "Remarketing Audiences" or "Google Analytics Audiences"). With the help of Remarketing Audiences, we also want to ensure that our ads correspond to the potential interest of the users.

Google AdWords and conversion measurement

We use the services of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 9.10.2008 ("Google") on the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimisation and economic operation of our online offer within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f. DSGVO) the services of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, ("Google").

Google is certified under the Privacy Shield agreement and thereby offers a guarantee of compliance with European data protection law (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active).

We use the online marketing method Google "AdWords" to place ads in the Google advertising network (e.g., in search results, in videos, on web pages, etc.) so that they are displayed to users who have a presumed interest in the ads. This allows us to better target ads for and within our online offering to present users only with ads that potentially match their interests. If, for example, a user is shown ads for products he or she has been interested in on other online offers, this is referred to as "remarketing". For these purposes, when our website and other websites on which the Google advertising network is active are called up, a code is executed directly by Google and so-called (re)marketing tags (invisible graphics or code, also known as "web beacons") are integrated into the website. With their help, an individual cookie, i.e. a small file, is stored on the user's device (comparable technologies can also be used instead of cookies). This file records which web pages the user has visited, which content the user is interested in and which offers the user has clicked on, as well as technical information on the browser and operating system, referring web pages, time of visit and other information on the use of the online offer.

Furthermore, we receive an individual "conversion cookie". The information obtained with the help of the cookie is used by Google to create conversion statistics for us. However, we only learn the anonymous total number of users who clicked on our ad and were redirected to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, we do not receive any information that personally identifies users.

The users' data is processed pseudonymously within the Google advertising network. This means that Google does not store and process the name or email address of the user, for example, but processes the relevant data on a cookie basis within pseudonymous user profiles. This means that from Google's perspective, the ads are not managed and displayed for a specifically identified person, but for the cookie holder, regardless of who this cookie holder is. This does not apply if a user has expressly allowed Google to process the data without this pseudonymisation. The information collected about users is transmitted to Google and stored on Google's servers in the USA.

For more information on Google's use of data, settings and opt-out options, please refer to Google's privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads) and the settings for the display of advertisements by Google (https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated).

Use of the remarketing or "similar target groups" function of Google Inc.

The provider uses the remarketing or "similar target groups" function of Google Inc. ("Google") on the website. By means of this function, the provider can target visitors to the website with advertising by displaying personalised, interest-related ads to visitors to the provider's website when they visit other websites in the Google Display Network. Google uses so-called cookies to carry out the analysis of website usage, which forms the basis for the creation of interest-based advertisements.

For this purpose, Google stores a small file with a sequence of numbers in the browsers of the website visitors. This number is used to record visits to the website as well as anonymised data on the use of the website. No personal data of the website visitors is stored. If you subsequently visit another website in the Google Display Network, you will be shown advertisements that are highly likely to take into account previously accessed product and information areas. You can permanently deactivate the use of cookies by Google by following the link below and downloading and installing the plug-in provided there: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin.

Alternatively, you can deactivate the use of cookies by third-party providers by visiting the deactivation page of the Network Advertising Initiative at http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/ and implementing the further information on opting out provided there. Further information on Google Remarketing and Google's privacy policy can be found at: http://www.google.com/privacy/ads/.

Google Maps

We integrate the maps of the "Google Maps" service of the provider Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. The data processed may include, in particular, IP addresses and location data of the users, which, however, are not collected without their consent (usually executed within the framework of the settings of their mobile devices). The data may be processed in the USA. Privacy policy: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/, Opt-Out: https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated.

By using these web fonts, it is possible to present you with the presentation of our website that we desire, regardless of which fonts are available to you locally. This is done by retrieving the Google Web Fonts from a Google server in the USA and the associated transfer of your data to Google. This is your IP address and which of our pages you have visited. The use of Google Web Fonts is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. As the operator of this website, we have a legitimate interest in the optimal presentation and transmission of our website.

Google is certified for the us-European data protection agreement "Privacy Shield". This data protection agreement is intended to ensure compliance with the level of data protection applicable in the EU.

Integration of third-party services and content

Within our online offer, we use content or service offers of third parties on the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimisation and economic operation of our online offer within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f. DSGVO) to integrate content or services offered by third-party providers, such as videos or fonts (hereinafter uniformly referred to as "content").

This always requires that the third-party providers of this content are aware of the IP address of the user, as without the IP address they would not be able to send the content to their browser. The IP address is therefore necessary for the display of this content. We endeavour to only use content whose respective providers only use the IP address to deliver the content. Third-party providers may also use so-called pixel tags (invisible graphics, also known as "web beacons") for statistical or marketing purposes. The "pixel tags" can be used to evaluate information such as visitor traffic on the pages of this website. The pseudonymous information may also be stored in cookies on the user's device and may contain, among other things, technical information on the browser and operating system, referring websites, time of visit and other information on the use of our online offer, as well as being linked to such information from other sources.

Online presence in social media

We maintain online presences within social networks and platforms in order to be able to communicate with the customers, interested parties and users active there and to inform them about our services there. When calling up the respective networks and platforms, the terms and conditions and data processing guidelines of their respective operators apply.

Unless otherwise stated in our privacy policy, we process the data of users if they communicate with us within the social networks and platforms, e.g. write posts on our online presences or send us messages.

Use of social media plugins from Facebook

Due to our legitimate interest in the analysis, optimisation and operation of our online offer (within the meaning of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f. DSGVO), this website uses the Facebook social plugin, which is operated by Facebook Inc. (1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA). The integrations are recognisable by the Facebook logo or the terms "Like", "Like", "Share" in Facebook's colours (blue and white). Information on all Facebook plugins can be found via the following link: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/

Facebook Inc. complies with European data protection law and is certified under the Privacy Shield agreement: https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000GnywAAC&status=Active

The plugin establishes a direct connection between your browser and the Facebook servers. The website operator has no influence whatsoever on the nature and scope of the data that the plugin transmits to the Facebook Inc. servers. Information on this can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/help/186325668085084

The plugin informs Facebook Inc. that you as a user have visited this website. There is a possibility that your IP address will be stored. If you are logged into your Facebook account during your visit to this website, the aforementioned information will be linked to it.

If you use the functions of the plugin - for example, by sharing or "liking" a post - the corresponding information will also be transmitted to Facebook Inc. If you would like to prevent Facebook. Inc. linking this data to your Facebook account, please log out of Facebook before visiting this website and delete the stored cookies.

Facebook Pixel, Custom Audiences and Facebook Conversion

Within our online offer, the so-called "Facebook pixel" of the social network Facebook, which is operated by Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA, or if you are a resident of the EU, Facebook Ireland Ltd, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland ("Facebook"), is used due to our legitimate interests in the analysis, optimisation and economic operation of our online offer and for these purposes.

Facebook is certified under the Privacy Shield agreement and thereby offers a guarantee of compliance with European data protection law (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000GnywAAC&status=Active).

With the help of the Facebook pixel, it is possible for Facebook to determine the visitors to our online offer as a target group for the display of advertisements (so-called "Facebook ads"). Accordingly, we use the Facebook pixel to display the Facebook ads placed by us only to those Facebook users who have also shown an interest in our online offer or who have certain characteristics (e.g. interests in certain topics or products determined on the basis of the websites visited) that we transmit to Facebook (so-called "Custom Audiences"). With the help of the Facebook pixel, we also want to ensure that our Facebook ads correspond to the potential interest of the users and do not have a harassing effect. With the help of the Facebook pixel, we can also track the effectiveness of the Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes by seeing whether users were redirected to our website after clicking on a Facebook ad (so-called "conversion").

The processing of the data by Facebook takes place within the framework of Facebook's data use policy. Accordingly, general information on the display of Facebook ads, in Facebook's data usage policy: https://www.facebook.com/policy.php. Specific information and details about the Facebook Pixel and how it works can be found in Facebook's help section: https://www.facebook.com/business/help/651294705016616.

You can opt-out of the Facebook Pixel's collection and use of your data to display Facebook Ads. To set which types of ads are displayed to you within Facebook, you can visit the page set up by Facebook and follow the instructions there on the settings for usage-based advertising: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads. The settings are platform independent, i.e. they are applied to all devices, such as desktop computers or mobile devices.

You can also object to the use of cookies that are used for reach measurement and advertising purposes via the deactivation page of the Network Advertising Initiative (http://optout.networkadvertising.org/) and additionally the US website (http://www.aboutads.info/choices) or the European website (http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices/).

We process the data of our customers within the scope of our contractual services, which include conceptual and strategic consulting, campaign planning, software and design development/consulting or maintenance, implementation of campaigns and processes/handling, server administration, data analysis/consulting services and training services.

In doing so, we process inventory data (e.g., customer master data, such as names or addresses), contact data (e.g., e-mail, telephone numbers), content data (e.g., text entries, photographs, videos), contract data (e.g., subject matter of contract, term), payment data (e.g., bank details, payment history), usage data and metadata (e.g., in the context of evaluating and measuring the success of marketing measures). As a matter of principle, we do not process special categories of personal data, unless these are components of commissioned processing. Data subjects include our customers, prospective customers as well as their customers, users, website visitors or employees as well as third parties. The purpose of the processing is the provision of contractual services, billing and our customer service. The legal basis for the processing results from Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO (contractual services), Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO (analysis, statistics, optimisation, security measures). We process data that is necessary for the justification and fulfilment of contractual services and point out the necessity of their disclosure. Disclosure to external parties only takes place if it is necessary in the context of an order. When processing the data provided to us within the scope of an order, we act in accordance with the instructions of the client as well as the legal requirements of order processing pursuant to Art. 28 DSGVO and do not process the data for any other purposes than those specified in the order.

We delete the data after the expiry of statutory warranty and comparable obligations. The necessity of storing the data is reviewed every three years; in the case of statutory archiving obligations, the deletion takes place after their expiry (6 years, in accordance with § 257 para. 1 HGB, 10 years, in accordance with § 147 para. 1 AO). In the case of data disclosed to us by the client within the scope of an order, we delete the data in accordance with the specifications of the order, in principle after the end of the order.

Rights of the user

As a user, you have the right to request information free of charge about what personal data has been stored about you. You also have the right to have incorrect data corrected and to have processing restricted or your personal data deleted. If applicable, you can also exercise your right to data portability. If you believe that your data has been processed unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

Deletion of data

Unless your request conflicts with a legal obligation to retain data (e.g. data retention), you have a right to have your data deleted. Data stored by us will be deleted if it is no longer required for its intended purpose and there are no legal retention periods. If deletion cannot be carried out because the data is required for permissible legal purposes, data processing will be restricted. In this case, the data will be blocked and not processed for other purposes.
