Ursula Wendeln
Lifelong learning and development: Growing up in rural Lower Saxony, I was drawn to the wider world.

Based on my many years of experience as a controller, finance manager, tax expert, coach, and management consultant, I can now combine all my expertise and develop practical projects using AI. My degree in economics with an IT background, as well as extensive practical experience in software implementation and numerous projects over the last 15 years at larger companies to solve a wide variety of problems, now enable me to design solutions specifically from the user's perspective and solve complex challenges efficiently.

In recent years, by observing legislation in Germany, the EU and international tax law, I have identified unique opportunities in the international business environment, but I have also noticed restrictions early on, or rather many that are to be implemented in the near future, where legislation has already been passed. A few years ago, the requirements for foreign investments were already tightened in the new investment law. My conclusion at the time was that if investors are determined before the start of a project, e.g., as members of a cooperative, then the Investment Act does not apply, no matter how they tighten requirements for foreign investments.

Thanks to information advantages and my broad background of experience, I am now discovering more and more opportunities in this time of change. Did you know that thanks to AI, unstructured data no longer needs to be stored directly in the ERP system, but can be stored independently in an archive with immediate access to all unstructured documents? This makes it easy to migrate master data and closing balances to another ERP system or move them to a new archive at a later date. The prerequisite for this is complete data sovereignty, which you have with an open-source solution. This allows you to create a free, independent ecosystem that can be expanded for future requirements—such as IoT integration—without the risk of lock-in by proprietary systems.
Team
We are a small team of experts with expertise in various fields, all of whom are involved in AI solutions:
-
AI experts to build workflows with AI agents
-
IT developer
-
Prompt designer to create the best commands
-
AI consultant to automate processes
-
Marketing expert with an interest in AI and databases
We have about five years ahead of us just to implement the innovations that are already technically possible. The technical possibilities are growing exponentially, while people's awareness is only developing linearly. That is where the opportunities lie at the moment. Companies will want to take full advantage of the possibilities offered by AI, while employees will have the opportunity to seize this chance.

IT-partner wanted in exchange for shares in development of data-sovereign AI middleware with a central knowledge database (open source/AI/platform architecture)

The goal is to develop open, modular AI middleware that enables SMEs to integrate various AI services in compliance with the GDPR, host them locally, or orchestrate them via secure access points. This is no ordinary middleware; instead, customers receive scalable, understandable AI integration and an independent, transparent infrastructure. Customers retain data sovereignty and decision-making power instead of being dependent on platforms and a black box.
To jointly implement an innovative AI middleware solution that combines open-source principles, digital self-determination, and modular AI technology in a secure, scalable architecture concept, we are looking for a technical project partner (IT service provider, SME, startup) who can perform and supervise the following services.

Architecture and development of modular middleware
-
Integration of internal and external AI solutions
-
Development of a central semantic knowledge database
-
Provision of infrastructure or hosting (optional)
Expected qualifications
-
Experience with middleware and API development
-
Knowledge of AI integration, NLP, semantic databases
-
Knowledge of containerization, DevOps, infrastructure
-
Experience with open source technologies
An AI and IT security expert will develop the security concept and take on other areas. Comprehensive collaboration on the overall concept should be possible. To ensure that the Estonian start-up is not assigned a German permanent establishment due to its residence in Germany, it would be important for the IT partner to be based outside Germany.

Core idea
An AI-supported business plan generator with a knowledge database that is more than just a planning tool thanks to its integration into a project management system, automatic integration into an open source ERP system, and data archiving, which enables easy migration of the ERP system and archive so that everything can be taken along.

Middleware and database
All modules are open source, allowing for full self-hosting or cloud use. The middleware connects ERP, archive, and other modules, ensures data security and enables flexible extensions. There is a protected area for sensitive data, and all documents can be moved between systems in a controlled manner.
